These Terms of Service govern your use of the Northstar Achievement Pathways LLC (“Northstar”) website. Northstar’s services are also governed, where applicable, by a signed services agreement, Project Proposal, and Cancellation Policy. If these Terms conflict with an applicable signed services agreement or Project Proposal, the signed agreement or Project Proposal controls.

Services

Northstar provides individualized educational support and consultation, which may include executive-function support for children, adolescents, and adults, including individuals with and without ADHD. Services may address organization, planning, time management, task initiation, follow-through, study skills, learning strategies, writing, communication, and self-advocacy.

Northstar also provides Life Histories & Legacy Messages services through interviews and guided conversations. Projects may include recorded interviews, edited videos, written narratives, transcripts, digital archives, legacy messages, photographs or archival materials, and customized keepsakes.

Northstar’s educational-support services are educational and consultative in nature. Northstar does not provide therapy, counseling, psychological evaluation, diagnosis, medical treatment, crisis intervention, or legal advice.

Information and services provided by Northstar are not a substitute for care from an appropriately licensed medical, mental-health, legal, or other professional when such care is needed.

No particular educational, academic, personal, historical, creative, or other outcome is guaranteed.

Virtual educational support services may be available throughout the United States where legally permitted. Educational-support services for a minor require authorization from a parent or legal guardian and are subject to a separate Parent/Guardian Educational Support Services Agreement. A parent or legal guardian must complete required registration and scheduling on behalf of a minor.

Life Histories & Legacy Messages projects are subject to a separate Life Histories & Legacy Messages Services Agreement and individualized Project Proposal.

Scheduling, Payment, and Cancellation

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when scheduling services.

Payment is due as stated in the applicable signed services agreement or Project Proposal.

Fees may change for future appointments or projects. A change in fees will not affect services already booked and paid for unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Scheduled appointments are subject to the Cancellation Policy posted on this website unless the applicable signed services agreement or Project Proposal provides otherwise.

Website Information

Use of this website, including submitting an inquiry or contacting Northstar, does not by itself establish a client relationship. A client relationship is established only when any required services agreement has been completed and Northstar has agreed to provide services.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, website content and original Northstar materials, including text, graphics, logos, educational materials, worksheets, frameworks, images, and other content, are owned by or licensed to Northstar Achievement Pathways LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may view and use website content for your own personal, noncommercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially use Northstar content or materials without prior permission, except as permitted by law or expressly authorized in an applicable signed services agreement or Project Proposal.

Ownership and permitted use of materials and deliverables created as part of a Life Histories & Legacy Messages project are governed by the applicable signed agreement and Project Proposal.

Privacy

Information collected through this website and through Northstar’s services is handled in accordance with Northstar’s Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the signed services agreement or Project Proposal.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Northstar Achievement Pathways LLC and its owner, employees, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of, or inability to use, this website.

Northstar does not warrant that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors.

Liability relating to Northstar’s educational-support services or Life Histories & Legacy Messages projects is governed by the applicable signed services agreement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes to These Terms

Northstar may update these Terms from time to time. Revised Terms will be posted on this website with an updated effective date.

Changes apply prospectively and do not modify an existing signed services agreement or Project Proposal.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
